Pakistan and the IMF have reportedly reached agreement on most points related to the 2026-27 federal budget, with negotiations expected to conclude soon. Sources say Pakistan has agreed to key IMF economic targets, including a 4.1% GDP growth target and an estimated inflation rate of 8.6% for the next fiscal year. Meanwhile, US President Donald Trump announced the postponement of a planned strike on Iran after requests from Gulf leaders including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the UAE. In another development, Defense Minister Khawaja Asif warned that Pakistan would respond to attacks originating from Afghan territory. Separately, Saad Edhi, son of Faisal Edhi, was reportedly detained by Israeli forces while participating in an international humanitarian aid mission heading toward Gaza.
